What is exercise and sports science?

Exercise and sports science concentrates on the study of human movement from developmental, mechanical, motor control, psychosocial, psychological, historical, pathological, and physiological perspectives. Students study everything about the human body, from bones and muscles to skin and tissue. They research nutrition and exercise, learn how to condition the body, examine how diet can affect the body, and learn to understand injury and illness prevention. The program is appropriate for students who plan to work in the fitness and exercise industry, or any other field where human movement and exercise prescription is the focus.
