Societies & Associations (International)

  1. Society for Social Work and Research

Founded in 1993, is a non‐profit, professional membership organization. SSWR supports social workers, social welfare professionals, social work students, social work faculty and researchers in related fields.       

  1. Society for Social Work Leadership in Health Care

An association dedicated to promoting the universal availability, accessibility, coordination, and effectiveness of health care that addresses the psychosocial components of health and illness.

  1. International Association for Social Work with Groups, Inc.

Premier international association for social workers and allied helping professionals engaged in group work. The purpose of this non-profit, member-driven organization is to promote excellence in group work practice, education, field instruction, research and publication.

Societies & Associations (Local)

  1. Malaysian Association of Social Workers

MASW was formed on the 3rd of March 1973, and registered with the Registrar of Societies on the 28th March 1974 (ROS 1387 Selangor), while the MAMSW was dissolved on the 16th of May 1975.

Non-profit Christian social work organisation registered in Malaysia since 1979. They are committed to serving the poor and needy irrespective of religion and ethnicity.
